Your play is private. Your wins are private. Your history is yours. We are a Montana bar — not a tech company, not a data broker, not a marketing platform. The Bluebird Bar Sports Tab system exists to let you play pull-tabs, track your wins, and earn rewards. That is the entire purpose of your data. It goes no further.

Section 1

Our Commitment to You

The Bluebird Bar is a licensed gaming operator in Rocker, Montana, operating Sports Tab games under Montana gaming law. When you create an account on our Sports Tab platform, you trust us with personal information. We take that trust seriously, and we've written this policy in plain English so you know exactly where you stand.

The guiding principle of everything we do with your data is simple: the least possible information, used only for the specific purpose it was given, shared with no one who doesn't need it to run this service.

We are not an advertising platform. We are not building profiles to sell. We are not DraftKings or BetMGM — companies whose business models depend on monetizing player data. We're a bar in Rocker, Montana that wants to give our regulars a better pull-tab experience. That context shapes every decision in this policy.

Your neighbors, friends, and fellow bar patrons will never see your play history, your wins, or your account activity. That information belongs to you.

Section 2

What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate your account and run the Sports Tab program. Here is the complete list:

That is the entire list. We do not collect:

Bluebird Bucks are a rewards tracking mechanism only. They have no cash value and are not a financial instrument. Because there is no real money moving through this platform, there is no need for the financial data collection that commercial gambling platforms require.

Section 3

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for four purposes, and only these four:

We never use your data for advertising — not our own, not anyone else's. We never use it to build marketing profiles, predict spending behavior, or sell promotional opportunities. If you receive an email from us, it is about your account, your wins, or an invitation to a pool — nothing else.

Section 4

Your Play Is Confidential

This section is the most important one on this page. We want to be explicit about what "confidential" means in practice on the Bluebird Sports Tab platform.

No leaderboards. We do not publish rankings, win totals, or play activity for any player. There is no public-facing list of top players, biggest wins, or most active accounts.

No public win/loss records. Your tab scanning history and win/loss totals are not visible to other players, bar staff beyond what is operationally necessary, or anyone else.

No cross-account visibility. Other players using the Sports Tab app cannot see your name, your history, your wins, or your pool participation (except within a pool you've joined — see Section 8).

No name/likeness use. Unlike commercial gaming platforms, we will never use your name, photo, or winning activity for promotional or advertising purposes without your explicit written consent. Your wins are between you and the bar.

We are aware that platforms like DraftKings explicitly publish win/loss records in public leaderboards and allow other users to view individual wagers and contest entries. That is not how we operate. The Bluebird Sports Tab is a private, in-bar loyalty experience — your play history is no one else's business.

Section 5

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Full stop.

We do not share it with data brokers, advertising networks, marketing companies, or any third party whose business involves monetizing personal data. There is no "we may share with carefully selected partners" carve-out here. We are not in the data business.

Your name, email, phone number, and play history will never be sold, licensed, rented, traded, or provided to any outside organization for any commercial purpose.

Section 6

Third-Party Services We Use

Running a web-based platform requires a small number of external technical services. We use exactly three, each for a specific operational purpose:

These are the only external services with access to any part of your data. We do not use analytics platforms that track user behavior, advertising SDKs, social media tracking pixels, or any other data-collection tools beyond those listed above.

Section 7

Winner Confidentiality

Your identity as a winner will never be published, announced publicly, or used in any promotional material without your explicit written consent.

This approach is consistent with Montana's tradition of winner privacy. Under Montana law, the name of a Montana Lottery winner is not public information and is not released without the winner's expressed permission. We apply the same principle here, even though the Bluebird Sports Tab is a bar game, not a state lottery.

If you win something significant and we'd like to celebrate it publicly — a post on the bar's social media, a note on the board, anything of that nature — we will ask you first. A win is your news to share or not share as you choose.

Section 8

Pool Participation

The Sports Tab platform allows players to form pools — groups that split a series of tabs and share any winnings proportionally. Pool participation involves a limited, specific exception to the general confidentiality principle described above.

Within a pool: Members of a pool you have joined can see each other's names and the fractional shares assigned to each member. This is necessary for the pool to function — participants need to know who is in their pool and what share of any win they are owed.

Outside a pool: Pool membership, pool results, and pool win/loss data are not visible to anyone outside that specific pool. No other player, no public page, and no bar staff (beyond what is operationally necessary) can see a pool's internal records.

You choose whether to join a pool. Joining is always voluntary, and you can see who is in a pool before you commit to joining it.

Section 9

Gaming Control Compliance

The Bluebird Bar is a licensed gambling operator under Montana gaming law and is subject to oversight by the Montana Gaming Control Division. Our record-keeping obligations are governed by ARM 23.16.1715 (Sponsor Record Keeping Requirements) and related rules under Title 23, Chapter 5 of the Montana Code Annotated. As a condition of our license, we may be required to provide player records, tab records, or other account data in response to a lawful audit, investigation, or regulatory request by the Montana Gaming Control Division.

We do not voluntarily share data with regulators beyond what is legally required. We will comply with lawful requests, and we do not have a choice in doing so. This is a standard legal obligation for any licensed gaming operator in Montana.

Outside of this specific legal obligation, your data is not shared with government agencies, law enforcement, or any other authority without a lawful order requiring us to do so.

Section 10

Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information from our active database promptly.

One limitation on deletion: Montana law requires us to retain Sports Tab game records for a specific period after each sports event. Under ARM 23.16.1715 (Sponsor Record Keeping Requirements), a sports tab card used in a sports tab game must be retained for at least one year after the date of the sports event upon which the game was based. This is a mandatory legal requirement as a condition of our gaming license — it is not discretionary.

This means that records tied to a specific Sports Tab game — including tab serial numbers, winning combinations, and payout records — may be retained for up to one year after that event, even if you request account deletion before that period expires. All such records are held solely for regulatory compliance and are not used for any other purpose.

Beyond the one-year statutory minimum, we do not retain your data. We do not archive records for future marketing use. When the retention period expires, records are deleted.

Section 11

Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your account and personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, email bob@mccarthylaw.net or reach us at the address in Section 13.

Section 12

Responsible Gambling

The Bluebird Sports Tab is a for-entertainment experience. Bluebird Bucks have no cash value. Participation is voluntary.

If you or someone you know has concerns about gambling behavior, self-exclusion is available. Speak to bar staff — we will handle your request confidentially and without judgment. You can also contact the Montana Council on Problem Gambling or the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700 (available 24/7).

Any self-exclusion request or responsible gambling concern you raise with us will be treated as confidential and will never be used for any purpose other than honoring your request.
