TOTAL PAYOUT$9,000.00

Note: The Bluebird Sports Tab covers up to 11 undercard races plus the feature. Races run after the feature are never counted toward the tab. If fewer than 11 races run before the feature, the unused undercard prize money rolls into the feature payout. The 2026 Preakness Stakes is scheduled as Race 13 of the Preakness Day card at Laurel Park, so all 11 undercard slots fill normally and the feature pays $3,000.

🎯 How It Works

Applies to All Races

Each sports tab shows a two-digit combination from 0–9 and 0–9 (e.g., 1–1, 1–2, … 9–8, 9–9).

  • The first digit of the winning tab = the single digit of the official program number of the horse finishing FIRST in that race.
  • The second digit of the winning tab = the single digit of the official program number of the horse finishing SECOND in that race.
  • "Single digit" means the last digit of the program number.
Example: Horse #12 wins → first digit is 2. Horse #11 finishes second → second digit is 1. The winning tab for that race is 2–1.

📜 Rules & Special Situations

Dead Heats

If there is a dead heat for first or second place, the prize amount for that race will be divided equally among all tabs that correspond to the combinations created by the tied horses' program numbers (using the single-digit rule above).

Coupled Entries (e.g., "1" and "1A")

If the official program lists a coupled entry such as 1 and 1A, both horses share the same program number for purposes of this sports tab. The holder of any tab using "1" as the applicable digit is treated as having "1/1A" for that digit. If either part of the coupled entry fills the relevant placing, that digit is satisfied.

General Rules

  • All race results and program numbers are taken from the official Preakness Day program and the official race results posted by Laurel Park.
  • Tabs must be paid for in full at the time of selection.
  • Each tab costs the same amount and each tab has an equal chance to win, consistent with Montana law on sports tab games.
  • This sports tab game is a statutorily authorized game of chance — not a sports wager or bookmaking. Conducted by a licensed gambling operator on premises licensed to sell alcoholic beverages, as required by Montana law.
